Hot Wheels is putting a new spin on what it means to be a legend.
As part of its new “Challenge Accepted” campaign, the iconic toy car brand brought together global Latin pop star Maluma, automotive content creator Supercar Blondie and soccer star Robert Lewandowski to create custom Hot Wheels vehicles inspired by their own lives, passions and personal journeys. The three custom die-cast cars were unveiled during a grand reveal event, giving guests an up close look at the latest additions to the Hot Wheels universe.
The campaign celebrates the idea of embracing challenges and pushing beyond expectations, but at the reveal, that spirit extended far beyond the cars themselves. Hosted at The Brig in Venice, CA guests were able to step into an immersive Hot Wheels experience filled with interactive activations, supercars and plenty of opportunities to play.

Each of the three legends had their own dedicated display highlighting their custom vehicle and personal connection to the campaign. The space brought the larger than life personalities behind the cars into the world of Hot Wheels, while real supercars positioned throughout the venue created a striking contrast between the full size vehicles and the miniature die-casts that have been a part of generations of childhoods.
For Lewandowski, the collaboration was rooted in a childhood fascination with cars and the feeling of finally being able to own a piece of that world — even if it was only 1:64 scale.

“They started to design the car and I started to think what car I would like to have for Hot Wheels; and for me, when I was a young guy, I wasn’t able to get this kind of car…I think that was the passion, to find a way to get this kind of car,” Lewandowski said.
That nostalgia was just as important to him as the finished product.
“I think I feel this connection with the car because I am a huge fan of the car. It’s a memory from my childhood,” he said.
While Lewandowski’s connection to Hot Wheels is tied to childhood dreams, Maluma’s custom car represents where he is in life today.

“This car represents my family, for the stage that I’m living in right now in my life. I’m about to have another baby boy in a couple of weeks,” Maluma said.
Rather than choosing a car simply because it looked fast, Maluma said he wanted something that reflected his current priorities.
“Even though I love super cars, in the moment that I’m living right now, I really feel like this is the kind of car that I want to drive. I feel safe in this kind of car,” he said.
For the global superstar, the car also represents a much bigger philosophy about his career and ambitions.
“This car will take you everywhere and that’s really what I want to do in my career and my life. I want to go everywhere. I want to conquer the world but conquering the world is not a matter of going fast, it’s doing the right things and having the discipline,” Maluma said.
That sentiment fits naturally into the larger message behind “Challenge Accepted.” The campaign is about more than speed; it’s about the drive to keep pushing forward — whether that means pursuing a childhood dream, building a family or continuing to push yourself professionally.

The celebratory event gave guests plenty of ways to engage with that message themselves. At a keychain-making station, attendees could choose a Hot Wheels vehicle and turn it into a personalized keepsake. Guests could also test their luck at a Hot Wheels dispensary machine, where they had the chance to win their own miniature vehicles.
For those looking to bring the experience to social media, a fisheye photo booth offered a playful way to capture the night. And in one of the event’s more immersive moments, guests were invited inside a real supercar to participate in Hot Wheels “Challenge Accepted” Speed Round questions.
The experience continued at the bar, where themed cocktails including “The Pit Stop,” “The Challenger” and “Pacific Drive” kept with the automotive theme, while passed hors d’oeuvres added to the evening.
By giving Maluma, Supercar Blondie and Lewandowski the opportunity to create cars that reflect their own stories, Hot Wheels has made its latest collection about more than the vehicles themselves. Each die-cast serves as a miniature representation of a different kind of journey — from childhood dreams and automotive passion to family, ambition and the determination to keep accepting whatever challenge comes next.
