HBO’s ‘Westworld’ celebrated its season four premiere in NYC.
The show tells the story of Westworld, a unique and futuristic amusement park that is looked after by robotic hosts that allow visitors to live out their wildest fantasies via artificial consciousness.
The Knockturnal got the chance to chat with many members of the show’s incredibly talented cast and crew at the premiere, including Lisa Joy, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Aurora Perrineau, Alison Schapker, and Richard J. Lewis.
“I love our show,” Jeffrey Wright shared. “I love the complexity of the characters, of the writing, of the narratives, of the themes — it just keeps me excited and keeps me loving coming to work every day.”
“Like all characters, Stubbs is evolving,” Luke Hemsworth said of his character. “So where he goes is anyone’s bet.”
The show is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name and features an all-star cast including Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Tessa Thompson, Aaron Paul, Ed Harris, James Marsden, and many more.
“Thematically, season four is going to build on the questions that have always been sort of baked into the center of the show,” Alison Schapker said. “And we’re still exploring the ramifications of artificial intelligence.”
Watch season four of Westworld starting June 26.
