LA-based Chelsea Collins is the nonconformist pop star next door.
Her newest single, “07 Britney” dropped on Friday. Chelsea Collins channels ‘07 Britney in one of this year’s catchiest pop songs. The track sees the LA singer-songwriter and producer delivering a lavish ode to one of her personal heroes. The music video, as DIY as LA quarantine videos get, honors the iconic namesake in the title.
Chelsea’s lyrics are as dizzyingly melodic as a Taylor Swift dreamscape, all while paying homage to the early 00’s pop-punk scene. She’s self-produced and self-written, and her music delivers on the message of brash pop sonic existence. Chelsea’s signature is captivating audiences through her characters and her alluring visual for recent Nat King Cole-inspired “Used to be (L.O.V.E.)” matches her enthusiasm to role play.
