On Thursday, September 6th chef Anthony Carron and his partners, Mario Zeniou, as well as NBA stars Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem celebrated the opening of his latest iteration of 800 Degrees Woodfire Kitchen.


Located near New York’s most inconic landmark, the Empire State Building, when you walk into 800 Degrees you feel as if you’ve been transported into an open Italian kitchen mixed with a bit of textbook New York restaurant design. At first you think it’s just a pizza place, but as chef Carron put it, he couldn’t just bring another pizza place to NY. The restaurant’s menu not only offers pizzas ranging from basic margherita pizza to the $50 caviar pizza, but also fresh roasted meats like prime rib and porchetta to seafood including organic salmon and wild caught tuna.
The evening itself was a celebration of the restaurant’s opening and preview of the menu. What stood out the most were the spicy feta, aforementioned caviar pizza, the prime rib sandwich, and the signature cocktail, the 800 mule, which adds cucumber, lime and agave to the popular drink. As a main partner in the 800 Degrees franchise, Wade discussed being excited about not only the New York opening, but also the upcoming opening of the 2nd East Coast location in Wade’s adopted city, Miami.
800 Degrees Woodfire will offer take out service for lunch and full waiter service for dinner so be sure to stop by for tasty pizzas, a full selection of sharable farm to table options, and an extensive wine list featuring 3 of Dwayne Wade’s “Wade Cellars” wines.
