Star hosted its annual HOLLYWOOD ROCKS event last week at Hollywood hotspot Le Jardin. It was a rollicking good time. The event celebrates all that’s new and hot in L.A.’s trendiest hood.
Svedka Vodka and Heineken provided drinks for the night, giving stylish revelers the courage to dance to the pulsating rhythms pumping from the speakers. Celebrities like Mean Girls actor Daniel Franzese gave the event some extra star power. Most of the seating at the event was roped off for glamorous about-towners. It was a hob nobber’s dream. JustFab was posted up in a corner of the gaudy, glitzy open space. They were giving free style tips and doing folks’ makeup. People left their station looking incredible. They also set up a photo booth that I abused by demanding shot after shot. It has to be just right, y’know?
Weight loss pioneer Hydroxycut had a massive display and beautiful, fit reps. Many thirsty gentlemen approached the booth hoping to shed a few pounds.
Singer Jess Glynne was the star of the evening. She performed five breathtaking songs while flanked by two on-point background singers. I only knew her hit song “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” before seeing her perform. That recording somehow didn’t prepare me for how incredible a live vocalist she is. She pairs an inviting rasp with classic r&b riffs. She can belt, she can flit, she can do it all. My +1 and I danced recklessly with Los Angeles Clippers cheerleaders we’d anxiously befriended earlier that night. Memorable.
The evening was also presented by Physicians Formula and Bartenura.
