Despite the brutally hot and sticky weather in New York City on Monday night, the stars and creators of Jurassic World Rebirth stepped out to celebrate the U.S. premiere of the highly anticipated movie. The A-list cast members, including Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, and Rupert Friend, gathered at Manhattan’s Lincoln Center for the lavish red carpet premiere and screening, which was met with high praise. Fans enthusiastically enjoyed the movie that delivers thrilling action sequences and adrenaline-pumping dino mayhem.
About 1,085 guests packed inside Alice Tully Hall’s auditorium to watch the latest installment, out in theaters July 2, of the beloved Jurassic World franchise. The guests had a blast watching the movie, and many cheered and clapped throughout the flick. Helmed by director Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World Rebirth begins five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, and the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable due to dinosaurs. The remaining creatures exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. Three important colossal creatures, which live across land, sea, and air within that tropical biosphere, have DNA that is the key to a drug that will bring life-saving benefits to humankind. This storyline sets up an exciting mission led by Johansson to secure the genetic material while facing off against different dinosaur species.
Immediately following the screening, lucky guests strolled over to Lincoln Center’s Hearst Plaza for the most extravagant and entertaining afterparty. Partygoers walked up the Plaza’s stairs and were greeted with the iconic Jurassic World entrance gate. Many snapped selfies in front of it in awe. After taking pics, guests walked through the gates and saw the sprawling plaza set up with massive life-like dinosaur models, fun interactive activations such as an off-road Jeep vehicle, and numerous dino-related photo ops. Attendees were even treated to a complimentary Lego set of a T-Rex or Triceratops at the Lego station, which made many guests happy.
As guests roamed around the party, they schmoozed over mini bites of delicious rigatoni bolognese, meatball sliders, and vegetarian risotto. The vast party also took over the adjacent Lincoln Ristorante. Inside, Johansson mingled with colleagues and happily posed for photos with guests. Bailey was seen chatting with Friend and his wife, Aimee Mullins, while Colin Jost shared an animated conversation with a pal.

Just as plates of sweet dessert platters of lemon tarts and cannoli were served, guests started to trickle out at 11 pm. One guest was overheard saying, “This was one of the best premieres I have ever attended,” she said. “It was definitely worth coming out in this nasty, hot weather!”
