Los York announces new feature documentary film: ‘Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1’.
‘Unbanned’ is a documentary that explores the story behind the Air Jordan 1, most notably, how it disrupted the National Basketball League, changed the social fabric of basketball and launching worldwide infatuation behind sneaker culture. Effectively speaking, how Michael Jordan’s rebellious endeavors of the past shaped Nike’s current public perception.
The controversy lie primarily in the NBA’s previous uniform regulations, which stated:ย โA player must wear shoes that not only matched their uniforms but matched the shoes worn by their teammates.” Jordan continued to wear the sneakers and Nike accrued the fees in earnest.
