Wilmer Valderrama “Rights Hair Wrongs” With Old Spice

There’s no way to deny that, actor, Wilmer Valderrama is quite a beautiful man from his beaming smile to his well-groomed tresses.

And it’s those perfectly laid strands that made him the perfect person to sit down with, celebrity groomer, Benjamin Thigpen, on Thursday, in partnership with Old Spice, to offer some hair styling tips using to all the men out there hoping to have locks as smooth as the newest NCIS star.

Even before meeting with Thigpen, Valderrama incorporated Old Spice products into his personal grooming routine. In addition to not washing his hair daily, which he said is to combat dry scalp by “keeping the oils in there”, the former That 70’s Show actor also uses Old Spice Pomade so that the next day his hair can become “even more manageable”.

Like Old Spice’s signature smell, Valderrama has an easily recognizable style.  “[when] you wear black t-shirts, that’s a pretty Wilmer thing,” he said. There’s also one item that the clean-cut dresser hardly leaves home without. “I also wear these super worn down biker boots that I’ve worn for the last couple of years that I love so much,” added Valderrama.

When he’s not gracing the camera with his sharp looks, the multi-talent actor is lending his voice to the animation world. Valderrama will play the first Latino Prince Charming in Disney’s upcoming animation Charming (from the producer of Shrek). In the movie, Prince Charming is put under a spell that makes him so irresistible that all the princesses of the land fall in love with him- complete with Shrek-style cameos. Unfortunately, if the polyamorous prince doesn’t get rid of the curse soon enough, “all love will be lost in the land.” “I love everything Disney does and I worked with Disney for eight years so to be able to be part of that universe is beautiful,” mused Valderrama.

Beyond juggling several high-profile roles, the proud Latino of Venezuelan and Colombian descent has been an outspoken voice for immigrant rights and Latino suffrage and offers advice to whomever the next president of the United States may be. ”I think [they] should make minorities a priority,“  he said. “[minorities] need to be given the opportunity to not only be counted but be heard,” added Valderrama.

While Old Spice gave the young star a fresh hair style, it also debuted its newest ad – “Perfect Ending” – to support its new “Smell ‘Em Who’s Boss” campaign” that depicts how Old Spice shampoo can take a guy from “ew” to “ooo”.
