Miami just got a little more Italian.
Tucked away on the serene waterfront of NE 78th Street, San Lorenzo Miami opens its doors as Miami’s most daring new dining concept, offering an elevated Italian experience without a traditional menu in sight. The question isn’t “What would you like to eat?”—it’s simply: Carne or Pesce?
San Lorenzo Miami is the latest brainchild from 84 Magic Hospitality—the creative force behind the beloved Cotoletta. With a prix fixe menu of $140 for two, diners embark on a surprise culinary journey, curated entirely by the kitchen based on one simple preference: meat or fish. The rest? A series of dishes crafted with expert precision, revealing themselves course by course.
“Our mission has always been to make people feel better when they leave than when they arrived—guests and team members alike,” shares Andrea Fraquelli, co-founder of 84 Magic. “What San Lorenzo offers, more than any other restaurant in Miami ever has, is a chance to escape into another world.”
Leading the charge in the kitchen is Executive Chef Giulio Rossi, who brings a deep respect for traditional Italian cooking, combined with a bold focus on simplicity. “San Lorenzo is all about letting the ingredients shine,” he explains. “By narrowing the focus, we ensure every dish is a standout.”
Each meal includes a curated selection of appetizers, a main course based on your preference, and sides that echo the warmth of a home-cooked Italian meal—think Lake Como meets Miami chic.
Stepping into San Lorenzo is like stepping into a lakeside villa in Northern Italy. Designed in partnership with Eduardo Suarez and Milan-based Alessio Bernardinito, the 44-seat indoor dining room glows under Venetian lighting, evoking old-world charm with modern finesse. Outside, the terracotta-tiled terrace adds another 30 seats, offering candlelit alfresco dining with riverfront views—an atmosphere that’s equal parts romantic and transportive.
From the decor to the flavors, San Lorenzo was built to take guests on a journey.
San Lorenzo’s dedication to craft doesn’t stop at the plate. The bar channels the essence of a 1930s Venetian osteria, offering classic Italian cocktails executed with precision. Guests can sip a bold, bittersweet Negroni or an elegant Dry Vodka Martini—each made with one carefully chosen brand per spirit. It’s an intentional move that puts craftsmanship and consistency at the forefront.
For those seeking a more traditional Italian aperitivo, the Bellini is a must, alongside a refined list of Digestivos. The wine program features a thoughtfully curated lineup of exclusively red Italian wines, carefully selected to complement the menu’s rotating offerings and honor regional winemaking traditions.
At San Lorenzo, luxury is defined not by opulence, but by ease. With no decisions to make and every detail handled behind the scenes, guests are invited to relax and savor each moment. It’s elegance made approachable, hospitality made personal.
“This isn’t just about food,” says Fraquelli. “It’s about the experience, the emotion, and the people. San Lorenzo is for anyone who wants to feel something—and to taste something unforgettable.”
