My beautiful readers, I am pleased to inform you that we are only one week away from DGTL´s second edition in Madrid! IFEMA will be the home for this incredible festival once more this upcoming Saturday, 23rd of November.
I had heard about the international DGTL many years back, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2018 that I finally got to experience a DGTL festival myself. The lineup they continuously have year after year isn’t the only thing that’s great about this particular festival, but also how they are geared towards a more environment-conscious event.
DGTL is not your common festival for many reasons. Their goal is to create a unique experience for the attendees by mixing technological innovations and art into their stages and set ups, giving it an industrial feel. Their creativeness is inspired by consciousness, making them advocates for the well-being of the environment and implementing sustainable technology in their events that lessens the pollution of the planet (such as solar panels). DGTL´s goal is to become the first circular festival by 2020, meaning it´ll be completely waste and emission free. Who says you can´t rave AND help the planet at the same time!
Charlotte De Witte, DGTL Madrid
This year’s DGTL Madrid sounds just as promising as any other, bringing a well-curated lineup with artists such as Tale Of Us, Honey Dijon, Dixon, Oscar Mulero, Ben Klock, Adriatique, and more. Although having an open air festival during the summer has its beauty for sure, I enjoyed myself a lot during last year’s DGTL Madrid, which took place in December. The benefit of having DGTL take place in IFEMA is that the space fits perfectly for the two stages DGTL Madrid brings. Since it is an enclosed space the sound travels better and fills up the space, whereas I felt that DGTL Barcelona had many spots where the sound was lacking. Overall, both DGTL experiences I have lived have left many incredible memories, and I cannot wait to attend this year’s DGTL Madrid and share them with you. Of course, what better than creating those memories for yourself!
Final tickets are running fast, don’t miss out yours.
