Paradise on Hulu is something like a fool’s paradise.
Each episode in this political, mystery-thriller takes you through a shocking turn of events at every corner. The characters are immersed into a world of deception that finds itself surrounding an intense case of whodunnit.
The new series is set in a perfect utopian community. When the former president is murdered unexpectedly, all fingers point to his right-hand secret serviceman as the prime suspect. As the investigation transpires, relationships are tested. Conspiracy theories are magnified. Lies lay between families.
Paradise isn’t your typical post-apocalyptic bunker show. Julianne Nicholson, who plays the character Sinatra, shared her thoughts on what the audience can expect with this series.
“You’re living in a world where you think you know and you don’t,” Nicholson said. “Everyone’s lying to you basically. And it’s like finding the people to trust and finding the humanity within that.”
Sarah Shahi, who plays Gabriela, adds her reasoning behind the fast-paced concept.
“There’s only eight episodes,” Shahi said. “You have massive things happening in every episode so there’s no slow burn. You’re going to be hooked within the first 15-20 minutes.”
The series is filled with a star-studded cast including Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Jon Beavers, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, and Krys Marshall.
Paradise is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+. New episodes will air weekly every Tuesday until the finale on March 4.
