Hockey champions Caroline Harvey and Jack Hughes skated into a golden day when the dynamic duo joined forces for a celebratory shift at Raising Cane’s Times Square.

Fresh off their Olympic win and international accomplishments, the dynamic duo joined forces for a celebratory shift at Raising Cane’s Global Flagship Restaurant in the heart of Times Square.

Wearing their sparkling medals, the American treasures were all smiles as they came on site to work behind the counter to serve up chicken fingers and lemonade to guests who came to honor their recent big wins.

Sportsmanship and goodwill was the theme of this early morning session that filled the air with pride and gratitude.

“I am definitely feeling the love,” Harvey told reporters. ” It was a super special thing coming back and feeling all the support.”

Knowing that Raising Cane’s has a reputation for spreading ONE LOVE® to customers as much as to athletes across the country, the two hockey players took time to acknowledge the meaningful outreach of goodwill that the Restaurant spreads to both men and women sports.

Raising Cane’s has built a tradition of turning major sports milestones into hometown celebrations, welcoming standout athletes for celebratory “shifts” that bring world-class achievements directly to local Communities.

Part of the tradition included during the 2024 international summer competition in Paris, Cane’s hosted swimmer Katie Grimes following her silver medal performance in the 400-meter individual medley, Nic Fink after his silver medal finish in the 100-meter breaststroke and U.S. Women’s National Team defender Tierna Davidson after helping secure a championship title in women’s soccer.

Post games and competitions, the Restaurant hosts events that  bridge the gap between the global stage and hometowns, giving communities a chance to honor our athletes.

Champions go behind the counter and help serve up a  setting where fans can connect with the atheletes one Box Combo at a time.

“It means everything,” Harvey reflected on the initiative Raising Cane’s takes to be an athletic backer and promoter of a variety of sports players. “We definitely feel the support and the love. Yeah, it’s definitely behind sports in general. We’re grateful.”

It is moments like this that help inspire. The joy it brings fans today at events such is this is also key to a brighter future. Take to heart that a day such as this in Times Square spreads joy and hope to others – especially the next generation of hopeful players.

We may not all make it the Olympics, but we sure can feel the golden glow of the game no matter what. At the end of the day the beauty of a celebratory shift is about living in the enjoyment of the day and looking at it as a way to uplift a person at any age.

Success and medals are just a small part of it as Hughes told reporters.

“The thing about sports is – at least like when we were kids – it’s not about making it or like any of that. It’s all about, like, having fun, enjoying it. I know it’s so cliche, but when you’re like when you’re eight years old, it’s all about enjoying the sport, having fun, loving it, having a passion. Not like, how am I going to make the NHL like you’re eight years old? I think think as you go up the mountain, the mountain gets smaller and smaller,” he said. H “You focus in more, work hard, but the key base is always like enjoying it, having fun… If you don’t enjoy what you do, you’re not going to be successful… I just got to enjoy it.”

Harvey and Hughes stepped behind the counter to greet fans and snap selfies as they helped bag orders, fill drinks and serve up hot, fresh Chicken Fingers, crispy Crinkle-Cut Fries, buttery Texas Toast and, of course, plenty of Cane’s Sauce. It was all in the name of fun and that’s what we all need more than ever.

“It was great having Caroline and Jack out to our Global Flagship in Times Square to celebrate their gold medal wins and the first time Team USA has won gold in both women’s and men’s hockey in the same year. It’s amazing seeing everyone come together to support each other to celebrate these accomplishments,” said Todd Graves, founder of Raising Cane’s. “Both teams did a great job representing Team USA throughout the Games and I’ve loved seeing the recognition and support of women’s hockey through all of this. Caroline and Jack are leaders both on and off the ice and are great role models for the next generation of Olympians, athletes and beyond.”

And the winning lucky streak feeling is also in store for Raising Cane’s fans. From gold to green, it’s a colorful world for Caniacs this month. Add that  splash of shamrock to St. Patrick’s Day with the return of its fan-favorite Leprechaun Lemonade, plus a lineup of Caniac Club freebies designed to make every swipe feel like striking gold.
