The radiant cast members were the brilliant energy shift 2026 needs with the transformative Prime Video show Get ready for the ride of your life thanks to the new brilliant ‘Ride or Die’ coming to Prime Video on July 15.
The high-octane action comedy screened at The New York Historical in New York City with the stars and executive producers, Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham, creator and executive producer Tessa Coates, showrunner and executive producer Matt Miller, cast members Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, Sylvia Hoeks, Jacky Ido and Ed Skrein were in attendance, along with executive producers Barbara Muschietti and Irene Yeung and episodic director DeMane Davis.

Following an introduction from Amazon MGM Studios’ Kara Smith, Head of Drama, Tessa Coates, and Matt Miller shared opening remarks prior to sharing an advanced screening of the first episode. Kara described the series as “the summer indulgence we all need to see – full of laughs, intrigue, and drama!”

The show that is about dynamic women is also proudly made with many creative women behind the camera.
“It’s a dream come true for me,” Spencer told The Knockturnal on the red carpet. “I’m just going to have a moment to just celebrate the fact that we heard a pitch, it was written, we filmed it, and now we’re presenting it to the world. Before any numbers come in and anyone deems it a success or a failure, I am considering the fact that we made it. All of these brilliant collective, collaborative minds, and I’m grateful for that.”
Davis, who directs episodes 3 and 4, doubled up on the sentiment and appreciation for all the folks who brought the show to life.
“I feel like it’s such a great ride. The show has action and thrilling drama. You almost cry and you laugh out loud,” she unveiled on the carpet as she was surrounded by some of the most blissful crew around.
An English-inspired party took place after with themed cocktails and tunes by DJ Rhonda Rox. It was a night that celebrated what is sure to be one of the biggest streamer hits of the summer.

The fast-paced series will debut all eight episodes on Wednesday, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Spencer) and Judith Burton (Waddingham) who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together. It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels.
Ride or Die also stars Ed Skrein as “Billy,” Calam Lynch as “Sam,” Savannah Steyn as “Queenie,” Jamie Parker as “David,” Jacky Ido as “Jacques,” with Sylvia Hoeks as “Ana” and Bill Nighy as “The Director.”
