Bold Ombre Transitions and Artistic Flourishes Define a Collection Inspired by the Designer’s Early Days in the Studio.

The Friedrichs Pontone Gallery, a space celebrated for its contemporary art exhibitions, served as the setting for Evan Hirsch’s Fall Winter 2025 showcase. While the gallery’s usual minimalist aesthetic remained intact, the collection itself brought a sense of artistic nostalgia, drawing inspiration from Hirsch’s early days as an art student. The designer’s love for painting and color took center stage, creating a vibrant and cohesive presentation.

The show opened with models stepping onto the runway, each outfit a testament to Hirsch’s artistic vision. The collection was defined by its use of bold colors, gradients, and ombre techniques, with fabrics that seemed to shift hues as the models moved. A standout gown transitioned from deep indigo to soft lavender, evoking the gentle fade of a twilight sky, while a tailored coat blended fiery orange into cool teal, reminiscent of a sunset. These pieces highlighted Hirsch’s ability to translate the fluidity of paint onto fabric.

Hirsch’s signature reveal dresses, which have become a hallmark of his work, were reimagined for this collection. Instead of dramatic transformations, the gowns featured subtle color shifts, offering a more understated yet equally captivating effect. One particularly memorable look was a blush pink gown that gradually deepened into a rich burgundy, creating a sense of movement and depth.

In his own words, Evan Hirsch says, “I remember how at home I felt when I walked into my first art studio during college. The range of color combinations, some making striking effects via their random color mixes truly inspired me this season. The ultimate expression of color mixing to me is the ombre and this season, I utilized the technique in a majority of my pieces.”

No details were spared during this fashion show. Diamond jewelry from MiaDonna added a touch of elegance, while custom headpieces by Binata Millinery introduced playful, sculptural elements. The models’ nails, by Lechat, made sure the models were perfect from head to toe.

As the show concluded, Evan Hirsch took a brief bow to applause from the audience. The collection was a clear reflection of his artistic journey, blending his passion for painting with his expertise in fashion design. The result was a series of wearable artworks that felt both innovative and approachable.
