The famed art fair, Frieze, returns to LA this week, at the Santa Monica Airport — and features not just a full lineup of galleries, programming, and partnerships… but also a delicious lineup of pop-ups from local restaurants.
And while checking out the art is a top draw (naturally), so too are the variety of fabulous food and drink options just outside the tents. One such standout includes 1010 Wine, Inglewood’s first and only wine bar The locally-owned restaurant, run by two sisters, has two pop up stands at the event. Order yummy bites, such as the Black Eyed Fritter and Trini Bara (accompanied by chickpeas and cucumber chutney). Other popular faves included the lamb and chicken wings.
Of course, with “wine” in the name of the restaurant, you know they’ll have many wines on hand, many of which were sourced here in LA as well as South Africa — and include Black Girl Magic Riesling to Aslina Chardonnay to Wachira Savignon and Love Cork Screw Rosé. Other drink opts include tea and water.
You can visit the Frieze pop-up on the grounds, or check out the restaurant anytime in Inglewood.
