After the success of Starz’s ‘Power’, E! News host Terrence J took the opportunity to gather thirty friends for a special evening honoring LaLa Anthony. The two have been great friends for years now and love to take a moment to get together and support and celebrate one another’s achievements. To their surprise, they were both treated to a special montage of their greatest work on camera, which was projected onto a nearby building. This wonderful occasion fittingly took place at the Zacapa Room on a private terrance over looking the Empire State Building. Notable guests included Power co-star Naturi Naughton, Peter Thomas from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Tahiry Jose from Love and Hip Hop. Chef Lois Spencer was there to prepare a multi-course meal for the guests, along with specialty hand crafted cocktails by mixologist Lynnette Marrero.
Samsung and MTV hosted the ultimate pre-show bash to celebrate all 12 nominees of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards’ “Song of Summer” Presented by Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. Singer Rita Ora performed fan favorites “R.I.P.”, “Body on Me”, “Black Widow” and “IWNLYD” while guests used the brand new Tab S2 to cast votes for their choice for “Song of Summer.”
On Friday, fans were treated to a night in Miguel’s world as made his Drai’s LIVE debut in the midst of his successful WILDHEART North American tour. Performing some of his biggest hits and fan favorites, Miguel rocked the opulent 65,000 square foot venue for an hour with songs like “Quickie,” “Drugs” and the lead single from his newly released WILDHEART album, “Coffee.” He paused between tracks to speak with the audience, clearly taking in his appreciation for their support. All while overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip from the rooftop stage, Miguel’s passion and musicianship shined through the entire concert. Before bowing out, he took to the mic one last time for his encore – the beloved and critically acclaimed “Adorn.”
DuJour Magazine hosted an event at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, New York, which celebrated the recent story DuJour published called Insta-Famous. The article featured Andrew Warren, Kyra Kennedy, Tiffany Trump, Gaia Matisse and Reya Benitez. DuJour’s Jason Binn, former NYC Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, Good Day New York’s Greg Kelly, and Just Drew designer Andrew Warren hosted the event. Andrew Warren arrived with his muses Reya Benitez and Gaia Matisse, who brought along their famous friends Peter Brandt Jr., Abigail Breslin, Jordan Kanegis, Brandon Kops, Natalie Jackson, Karen and Teddy Margueles. Her bridesmaid included some famous faces as well, with Victoria’s Secret Angel Sara Sampaio, who wore a custom Stephen Mikhail designs.
