Gucci has made wearing their sneakers personal.
Known for its bold pieces, Gucci is launching a customizable sneaker this upcoming season. The brand will be introducing their iconic white Ace for the Pre-Fall 2017 Collection, but with a twist. There will be six new styles for women, and five for men, with new interchangeable patches that attach to the sneaker. There will be over 100 patch combinations.
Available in May, the sneakers will come with their own patches, that can be removed and switched out, in either thread or crystal. Some women’s patches include a cat, pineapple, crystal panther and more. These patches echo the design details found in Gucci’s S/S 2017 women’s collection. Men’s patches include the iconic Gucci tiger head, the cat the UFO and more. Both women’s and men’s styles always have laminated snakeskin heels – blue on the right shoe and red on the left.
A high-top version of the ace is now available for men with patches. Gucci’s shoes are sold with specially designed dedicated packaging: black satin dust bag displaying a yellow Gucci logo per shoe; black tissue paper, boxes and bags featuring an all-over multi-colored ‘rainbow stripe. Each additional patch is sold separately and is wrapped just like the shoes.
