On Tuesday, September 29th, Celebrity Jewelry Designer, Margo Manhattan celebrated her partnership with television network Evine Live at the gorgeous 450 Penthouse in New York City.
Margo Manhattan’s edgy yet chic designs have been worn by celebrities including Selena Gomez and Amber Heard. While her bold pieces were only previously available at her Madison Avenue Boutique, starting November 4th they will be available to millions of viewers on cable and satellite television and only at Evine Live.
In celebration of this collaboration, the 450 Penthouse was decked out with Margo’s designs complete two motorcycles which reflected the rock and roll of her latest collection. Legendary DJ, Johnny Danger, set a fun vibe for the event while drinks were flowing and hors d’oeuvre were being passed around. The bar featured a cocktail named after the star of the evening – “The MargoRita” which was comprised of Avion Silver, fresh lime juice and agave nectar.
The Knockturnal had the opportunity to ask Margo Manhattan a few questions about her inspirations for the collection:
What inspired you to make the collection?
I think it’s just who I am. The collection is an extension of myself.
What is your favorite piece?
Probably my latest piece, my belt and I made a collar for Mika. The whole heart is for her. She’s my dog.
Has she been a source of inspiration to you?
Yes she has.
Who is the most famous celebrity to have worn your jewelry?
Probably Beyoncé. That was a good one. She’s amazing.
What are you most excited about in regards to upcoming visions with the collection?
Well, I’m very excited about Evine Live. It’s the number jewelry shopping network in the nation. We have so many new collections that are coming out. It’s just so exciting to be able to create so much.
Did you always know you wanted to be a jewelry designer?
Always. Since I was five. It’s a dream come true.
