OneRepublic will perform at the annual gala for Gabrielle’s Angel foundation for cancer research this year.
The band will make their debut at the charity alongside Patti LaBelle at Ciprinani Wall Street on Oct. 19. LaBelle has been a long time supporter of the foundation and last performed at the gala in 2011.
This years Angel Gala will honor the works of Heidi Klum, Amy and Brian France, Chairman and CEO of NASCAR, Founders, The Luke and Meadow Foundation, Mary Kitchen and Jon Orszag, Co-Founder of Compass Lexecon and Co-Directors of The Orszag Foundation.
Known as a highlight of the New York social scene, the gala will include a reception and dinner, surprise performances and an online, luxury auction hosted on charitybuzz.com. Alicia Quareles, an entertainment correspondent, will be the night’s emcee with host songwriter Denise Rich along with her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter.
Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation funds scientific investigators who aim to find less toxic treatments for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other cancers. The ball honors people from a wide range of fields who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research. All proceeds of the night will benefit blood cancer research.
Tickets and tables for the event are available on the foundation’s site.
