The 90’s are back, and N-P-Elliot debut Fall ’18 collection at New York Fashion Week was definitely a throwback to the time when fanny packs were in, and cropped pants were a thing.
The collection was a homage to his Scottish heritage. We saw tartan suits, kilts and muted colors with unexpected splashes of color throughout the collection.
Not one to shy away from bold statements we saw a mix of pants suit reminiscent of grandpas closet mixed with turtle necked sweaters and casual sportswear. Cropped pants, with long socks and white sneakers, paired with cutoffs, and bright vests were a stylish smorgasbord for the visual appetite. Asymmetrical lines lined many of the outfits adding a futuristic feel to the collection while mixing the old school vibes.
Elliot prides himself on the use of unique textiles, and attention to detail right down to the smallest things. The whole collection was designed and produced in New York City, and the brand positions itself as ethically made, adhering to national standards. Accompanied by a cast of models curated by Brent Chua, this designer can do no wrong.
