Reduce, reuse, recycle, is a part of Revival’s mantra and lifestyle. Raising sustainability awareness on the runway is just one of the goals of the 2020 swim collection. Making sure beauty and confidence exist on the inside and out is Revival’s purpose! On Wednesday, September 11th Revival swimwear sashayed their way down Klarna Style 360’s runway at the Metropolitan West and left us with a message to go green!
Revival’s sexy eco-friendly line certainly turned heads during fashion week! Dusting off patterns from the ’60s through the ’90s, Revival 2020 puts a new age spin on some vintage/retro styles. Incorporating high waist bikini bottoms with bralettes, and synched long sleeve crop tops, Revival got the remix just right! You would never suspect the bathing suits were made from recycled net polluting our oceans. Using only natural dies each re-generated fishing net is transformed by hand in L.A. into a gorgeous bathing suit packaged in a biodegradable wet pouch (upon request only, so less material goes to waste. ).”
One of the things I love most about this swim line is clothes can just be thrown on any piece and bam! You’re ready to go out to eat!” says a model, as she demonstrates, and throws on a blazer!
One of my personal favorites is the symbolic, signature fishnet holes on almost every piece there to remind you of its origin.
All it took was the friendship, of a model and a petroleum engineer to impact the world and begin to change what fashion stands for.
