On September 10th Arega’s Joy installation took place at the intimate Pergola hookah bar on 28th st in lower Manhattan. Resembling her Island, Pergola’s roof and walls were covered in faux vines, flowers, and grass, perfect for the showcase Garcia imagined. The lights were dim and the wooden stairs lead up into the 1st gallery, and a connecting bridge to Gallery 2.
