The 12th annual New York City Wine and Food Festival was held on October 10-13, featuring 80 events featuring 450 chefs, restaurant owners, food bloggers/influencers, and winemakers in the food and wine industry.
The event hosted a series of intimate dinners, pier parties, culinary demos, and tastings to raise money for No Kid Hungry!

NYCWFF has raised over $12.5 million dollars to help fight hunger! 100% of the net proceeds benefit Food Bank For New York City and the No Kid Hungry® campaign to end childhood hunger in America and the five boroughs of New York City. Every year, NYCWFF raises nearly $1 million for these charities helping them better provide for those they serve and closing the gap on hunger in our country.
Most tickets included unlimited serving of food, wine, and spirits with the exception of Capital One cardholders who had had the chance to received early/priority access to selected events and exclusive VIP installation offerings. Ticket holders also had the opportunity to sit in the IKEA Kitchen for live demos
by chefs from Food Network and Cooking Channel!
On Saturday, October 12, we attended the Grand Tasting sponsored by ShopRite, held at Pier 94, and Dumplings Around the World held at Metropolitan West.
Dumplings Around the World was hosted by Jet Tila. The event presented a series of Indian, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Soul, etc. dumpling/empanadas/gyoza tastings. The restaurants were: Anton’s Dumplings, FIELDTRIP, Dos Caminos, Bessou, Kopitiam, Brooklyn Chip House, Baar Baar, Luda’s Dumplings, East Wind Snack Shop, Aureole, Baba’s Pierogies, Veselka, Adda Indian Canteen, Wagamama, and Bali Kitchen.
The sponsors included Asahi, Astral, Aviation, Chef Works, I. Halper, iichiko, Mionetto, Remix Mixologists, Sombra, and Tyku Sake.
We also attended the signature Grand Tasting featuring a huge ShopRite installation with New York favorites which were available for samples.
There seemed to be more wine and spirits offering than foods, with hundreds of wines and cocktails from top distillers!
