The second installment of TROPA Tequila’s “The Ones Who Color The Room” and It’s Good dinner series brought together a creative crowd for an evening centered on color, connection and the art of gathering.
There are dinners you attend for the food, and then there are dinners where the people around the table become the main event. TROPA Tequila’s latest “The Ones Who Color The Room” gathering fell into the latter category, bringing together a group of creatives for an evening where conversation, culture and community took center stage.

The second installment of the four-part dinner series was hosted by stylists Marquise Miller and Aaron Christmon of It’s Good community at Cara Hotel. The series pairs each of TROPA’s four bottle colors and personalities with a host who approaches gathering as an art form. For the SKYE dinner, that meant a night inspired by the bottle’s vibrant blue hue and the people who bring their own energy into a room.
“TROPA tequila which is a relatively newer tequila but its a design based forward tequila. It has four different bottle colors but tonight, the color of our dinner is blue for SKYE bottle,” Christmon said.

The evening began with cocktails including the Poolside Passion and Cara Mezzcalita and an intimate cocktail hour, giving guests time to mingle and settle into the experience. A dreamy photo backdrop provided a space for guests to capture the night, while another personalized touch allowed attendees to create customized SKYE bottles complete with their own engravings.
But the experience wasn’t designed to end with the photo opportunities. As guests took their seats for a three-course dinner, the evening naturally shifted toward conversation. TROPA cocktails and tequila continued to flow as guests exchanged stories, caught up with one another and connected over a shared table.

That sense of community was central to Miller and Christmon’s approach to hosting. Rather than creating an evening solely focused on the product, “The Ones Who Color The Room” puts the spotlight on the people who give a gathering its energy.
“Delicious dinners do exist. This dinner is delicious and is filled with creative people who change the world, amazing stylists, amazing directors, amazing writers, amazing musicians and song writers and creative directors…people who every day have a sip of TROPA tequila and manifest the life they want,” Miller said.
For Miller, the idea of bringing creative people together over a drink is personal. He recalled an earlier gathering hosted by Christmon, where tequila, conversation and a shared view of Los Angeles became the backdrop for dreaming up what could come next.
“Aaron [Christmon] rented a beautiful mansion in Beverly Hills and we sipped TROPA tequila overlooking the city, creating and thinking about how we’re gonna change the world,” Miller said.

That sentiment captures what TROPA’s dinner series is ultimately trying to create. While the SKYE bottle provided the visual inspiration for the evening, the experience was defined by the people sitting around the table. The color set the mood, but the personalities in the room gave it life.
With two more dinners to come, “The Ones Who Color The Room” is giving TROPA a chance to bring different creative communities together through food, conversation and, of course, tequila. For the SKYE dinner, blue set the tone for an evening that felt vibrant, intimate and full of people with plenty to say.
