Luxury hotels have always been good at helping you relax and unwind —but not necessarily at helping you stay grounded in your routine. At a recent immersive morning hosted by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, that shift came into focus.
Hosted by Claudia Kozma Kaplan, Chief Brand Officer, and Emma Darby, Global Vice President of Spa & Wellness, the morning unfolded as a thoughtful introduction to Fairmont’s evolving approach to well-being. The focus wasn’t on rigid routines, but on rethinking how wellness fits into real life. As Kaplan put it, “Today’s luxury hotel guests are increasingly more aware of how they feel, how they perform, and how they recover. They are not always looking for high intensity or prescriptive programs, but for experiences that help them stay well and make better use of their time.”
The day began with a mindful workout designed to reflect that philosophy. Instead of pushing intensity, the session centered on awareness, movement, and adaptability—an approach that feels more in sync with how people actually want to move, especially while traveling.

Next came an interactive activation with AG1, weaving nutrition into the experience in a way that felt both elevated and approachable. It highlighted how small, consistent habits can fit naturally into a routine, even outside of everyday environments.
Recovery played an equally important role. Inside the Hyperice lounge, guests could explore tools designed to support muscle recovery and relaxation. The experience had a calm, almost meditative quality, reinforcing a broader shift in wellness culture where rest and recovery are finally getting the attention they deserve. The morning concluded with access to the Fairmont Century Plaza Spa, a 14,000-square-foot wellness retreat that reflects the same philosophy at a larger scale.

All of it ties into the brand’s “Wellness Without Walls” campaign, which expands the idea of wellness beyond traditional spaces like gyms and spas. The initiative is fronted by Fairmont’s first wellness ambassador Kylian Mbappé, whose focus on performance, recovery, and longevity mirrors what many travelers are prioritizing now. The message is straightforward — maintaining your routine while traveling shouldn’t feel forced or complicated.
As Kaplan noted during the event, travel today is less about stepping away from daily life and more about staying in rhythm with it. Increasingly, luxury is defined by how supported you feel—physically and mentally—throughout your stay. Fairmont’s approach points to a broader shift in hospitality.
