The guest rooms at Yotel New York are small, but cleverly designed and giving guests essential comfort without wasted space. The Knockturnal recently was invited to experience the hotel and stayed in the Premium Queen Room that is about 170 sq. ft. It was compact with a minimalist design to maximize space. The room featured a fully-adjustable smart bed, in which you hit a button to change it from a bed into a loveseat. You don’t see this often, but the mattress was plush and comfortable—very important for a good night of sleep. The room did not have traditional enclosed closets, and instead, had an open hanging rail with a few clothes hangers. There was also a small desk that provided a functional workspace while doubling as a versatile multi-use surface for laptops, chargers, keys, wallets, and documents. Overall, the look of the room was modern, and it was efficient for all needs.
A highlight of Yotel New York is their rooftop terrace, which holds some 400 guests. The grand space is both a cozy interior dining room while also a lush outdoor terrace, surrounded by majestic views over Times Square. Here you can savor in specialty cocktails and take in the towering skyline. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant called Green Fig, serving American cuisine from breakfast to evening.

One of the coolest offerings at Yotel New York is the Yobot, a robotic luggage concierge that securely stores and retrieves bags on demand. It’s billed as being the world’s first robotic luggage concierge, and if your room isn’t ready when you arrive, Yobot can store it while you explore the Big Apple.
Overall, Yotel New York is a great home base while running errands in the city. This Times Square hotel is in the heart of Manhattan and has practical guest room amenities. With easy subway connections nearby, you can easily get around all of Manhattan. So, the next time you’re in town this Fall, take yourself to Yotel.
