Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Thuso Mbedu and Many More United for the Power Women Summit 2022

The 2022 Power Women Summit (PWS) gathered some of the most influential women in entertainment, media, and technology for two days of education, workshops, and networking.

The summit presented by TheWrap aims to inspire and empower women across the landscape of their professional careers and personal lives. This year’s theme was, “A Time to Unite,” and included powerhouse speakers such as Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, Julianne Hough, Lena Dunham, Sarah Michelle Geller, Thuso Mbedu, Claire Foy, Jodie Sweetin, Stephanie Hsu and many more.

Day one of PWS kicked off virtually and discussed several important conversations such as power women driving cultural and social change, telling stories that matter, from the big screen to business owners and many more. Nina Dobrev “The Vampire Diaries” and Julianne Hough “Dancing with the Stars” are both successful actresses that have transitioned to business owners as co-owners of Fresh Vine Wines. The duo discussed the many obstacles they’ve faced running a business on top of their ongoing busy schedules. They offered tips and tricks to getting started, staying optimistic and consistency. Day one also consisted of a roundtable conversation with Hollywood’s future with Aimee Lou Wood “Sex Education,” Haley Lu Richardson “The White Lotus: Sicily,” Olivia Cooke “House of the Dragon,” Tommy Dorfman “I Wish You All the Best,” and Xochitl Gomez “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

Day two of the Power Women Summit was held at The Fairmont Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica and kicked off with “The Woman King” actress, Thuso Mbedu. Mbedu led a vulnerable discussion regarding perceived failure and trials and tribulation during the journey to her success. “With all the rejections that I’ve suffered and with everything that life has taken from me, it has gifted me with a peculiar perspective and that is, the worst they can say is no,” Mbedu shared. The summit continued with impactful speakers such as Anna Sitar, Digital Megastar, Model & Filmmaker, Corinne Foxx, Actor, Producer, Activist & CEO, Christy Carlson Romano, Actress & Host, “Vulnerable,” Genevieve Angelson, Actress & Mental Health Advocate, Nastia Liukin, Olympic Gold Medalist & Host and  Victoria Garrick Browne, TED Talk Speaker, Influencer, & Mental Health Advocate.
