There is nothing better than a cool margarita after a long day at work
Last week, Flecha Azul Tequila hosted a happy hour event at IXTA Cocina Mexicana which featured their array of Flecha Azul tequila. Guests were able to unwind after a busy work day and being out in the Summer heat with some delicious cocktails such as their delicious Watermelon Paloma, a classic Margarita, and a delicious Reposado Espresso Martini.
Out of the three, our favorite was definitely the espresso martini. The espresso martini has been a summertime classic for everyone and the addition of Flecha Azul Reposado added an extra layer of sweetness from the agave. The margarita was also a big hit being so refreshing after a long Summer day. And using the Flecha Azul as the base tequila lent such a smooth finish to the margarita and let the lime shine in the drink. Flecha Margarita
- 2 oz Flecha Azul Blanco Tequila
- ¾ oz fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz triple sec (Combier)
Method: Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass with ice. Enjoy!
Repo Espresso
- 2 oz Flecha Azul Reposado Tequila
- 1 oz espresso
- ½ oz Kahlua
- Dash Angostura bitters
Method: Combine tequila, espresso and Kahlua in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Add dash of Angostura bitters.
