It’s not every day that Mario Lopez shows up at Burbank’s Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, but between accidents and baby births, it’s also not that rare of an occurrence either!
Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is Mario’s hometown hospital and he loves their healthcare workers. So much so that he teamed up with Modelo to celebrate them for Cinco de Mayo! Saved by the Bell‘s most handsome surprised healthcare workers and first responders with a food truck and swag over the weekend. Some of their smiling faces had even helped bring his babies into the world!
This was all a part of Modelo’s #SaludToCinco promotion which you can participate in too! Modelo and Mario Lopez are encouraging fans to join them on Wednesday, May 5, for a “virtual toast” to honor our first responders and healthcare workers who have fought so selflessly throughout the pandemic. All you have to do to participate is post a photo using the hashtag #SaludToCinco on Instagram or Twitter.
The Knockturnal‘s Kinsey Schofield spoke to Mario Lopez about his connection to the hospital, his favorite beer (Spoiler Alert: it’s Modelo), his friendship with Mark Wahlberg, and his new Christmas movie, Holiday in Santa Fe. PS. He has a super-secret new project with Wahlberg that we can’t wait to get the 411 on! Watch the video above!
Modelo has committed $500,000 to #FirstRespondersFirst, in an effort to support healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Great job Modelo!
