Los Angeles State Historic Park transformed into a massive block party of food, fashion, and culture.

When you live for being active and hitting the town with friends—whether that means tracking down underground pop-up restaurants or checking out local concerts—an event like this is the ultimate playground. The annual Family Style Food Festival made its big homecoming return to LA with its heaviest lineup to date, and the atmosphere was electric from the moment we walked through the gates. The energy across the fairgrounds was an absolute vibe, drawing a massive crowd of creators, designers, and food lovers for an unforgettable summer Saturday. Bringing together over 40 premier culinary spots and more than 30 exclusive streetwear collaborations, the festival proved exactly why it is one of the most anticipated community events in the city.

The culinary lineup this year felt like a masterclass in flavor, offering a deep dive into the absolute best of LA’s diverse food scene. We launched our afternoon by heading straight for “The Table” presented by Cash App and Square, a reservation-only dining space that served as a major destination inside the park. There, we got to try Ronnie’s Pronto—the brilliant new concept from KITH founder Ronnie Fieg—which delivered phenomenal, incredibly distinct dishes that instantly set a high bar for the rest of the day. From there, we spent hours exploring an incredible spread of food, checking out legendary spots like Michelin-starred Kato and Damian alongside local crowd favorites like Villa’s Tacos, Kuya Lord, and Burgers Never Say Die. To wrap up the feast on a sweet note, we pulled up to the Häagen-Dazs space to sample their classic strawberry and dulce de leche mini cups, plus their vanilla milk chocolate almond mini bars. It was the perfect moment to just slow down, hang out, and check out the exclusive Häagen-Dazs and Champion merchandise line that was only up for grabs on-site.

Beyond the food, the festival’s signature marketplace felt like a living archive of modern streetwear, packed with rare drops and interactive spaces. A major highlight was seeing the new Adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 take center stage, showcasing a limited blue colorway in an immersive setup that played with bold style proportions. Right down the path, Toyota partnered with designer VandyThePink and brings Konbini culture to LA by creating “Toyota Mart.” This immersive convenience-store-inspired space was incredibly fun to explore, featuring a custom-wrapped 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, an in-car gaming challenge with Gashapon prizes, and limited-edition VandyThePink merch that seamlessly mixed Japanese subculture with classic West Coast style.

The intersection of global sports culture and modern apparel design kept the crowd’s energy up all through the afternoon. Foot Locker blends football culture with streetwear perfectly, and their setup was a massive focal point for everyone looking to score unique collectibles. They unveiled a rare, limited-edition Foot Locker and “Art Of” capsule collection featuring a special t-shirt and tote bag designed as a keepsake for the culture. The activation brought the sheer excitement of the World Cup to life with a soccer shooting challenge and an immersive 360 fan experience that made you feel like you were standing in the center of a roaring stadium. My friends and I hung around the booth for a while, watching people personalize national team jerseys with custom artwork for different countries.

As the afternoon wrapped up, the festival reached a major pop culture high note with an activation that brought massive music and street energy together. Reese’s Puffs teamed up with hip-hop star GloRilla to celebrate her original track “Eat Em Up” with a striking, collaborative cereal box and a fresh line of exclusive apparel. The booth was packed with fans lining up to spin a prize wheel for a shot at taking home pieces from the collection. Luckily, if you couldn’t make it out to the park, the exclusive merchandise and the GloRilla Reese’s Puffs box will be available on Complex Shop on 6/29. It was the perfect final highlight for a legendary homecoming event, leaving the city with incredible food, rare style drops, and great memories to carry through the summer.
