Today’s episode of STARZ’s hit show BMF is all about family and trust.
That is on full display when Meech goes for a family visit. But in reality, not everything was smiles and happiness. Meech and Terry had a fight at the movie theatre, Lucille was using the credit card to buy herself an outfit trying to spice things up with Charles, and B-Mickie being forced into turning on Meech by Detective Bryant. All of these stories kept me engaged to see what is going to happen on the next episode.
My theory on K-9 taking Meech under his wing came out correct. That is because K-9 sees potential in Meech to run his own drug empire one day. But for now, there are more tasks he has to do and not even a minor shootout could stop these two. Speaking of tasks, Terry is now a cab driver so that way he can keep out of trouble and make money for the family business. He of course does not like this, but it is smart to use the airport as a standby location for pickups.
I will say this, the scene between Bryant and Veronica got some good laughter out of me. This is because Bryant was exposed to the real deal when it comes to Chinese food and he was culture shocked!
Lamar is not only alive, but he is back with a vengeance. Starting with killing the cop at the hospital before being picked up by his cousin, he is eager to find Meech.
One of the pivotal scenes of the episode is the close call with the baby formula. The second the camera panned to the baby’s bottle with the cocaine next to it, I had a feeling that danger is approaching. It is good that Terry intervened and took the bottle that Lucille was about to make as she did not know it was not formula. It gave me a flashback to one scene in Shameless. I am sure this scene will be the talk of the week with BMF fans.
Strong second episode for the current season of BMF.
