MAC Cosmetics’ lead makeup designer, Jessica Nedza, speaks about the make up look at the Ermano Scervino’s show at Milan Fashion Week. Check it out!
How did you decide the make up for the Ermano Scervino Show?
Jessica Nedza: The collection is very rich and already says a lot; we wanted to keep the girls very fresh and young but with a little bit of glam. I played a lot with reflections this time.
We have a very light color on the skin just where it is needed. This makes the skin very beautiful, glowy and natural. We are using two different types of highlighters and we are sculpting the face with the highlights. We have a warm highlighter, “Soft and Gentle” from MAC and we have another highlighter that is silver and called “Transformer”. We put it on the cheeks and we melt these two colors together to give them a little bit of a sculpture on the cheeks, on the nose, and on the top of the lips.
We do the same thing with the eyes. We gave the eyes a little bit of depth with a plum color and then we finished it off with the black eye gloss from MAC. After I put on a little bit of brown mascara within and between the eye lashes to add that sparkle to the eye without looking like a heavy eye make up. To finish up we put MAC’s “Candy Red” on the lips.
