This just in: Slate has officially opened another residency in Brooklyn, NY!
As part of the popular nightspot’s 22nd birthday, Slate Rooftop was officially opened last week. The solar powered rooftop is located at The Pod Hotel, in the heart of Williamsburg. If you are looking for the new summer spot closer to Brooklyn, look no further! Slate Rooftop offers great drinks, fun games, tasty food, and a guaranteed good time.
From the moment you walk through the entrance, a beautiful view of Williamsburg greets you. There are picturesque lounge areas all throughout the rooftop that can offer either intimate conversations, mingling opportunities or peaceful solitude. Games are also on display and ready to be played; some include Connect 4, Guess Who and Jenga. Need a drink while playing games? The bar offers trendy cocktails from Liquid Labs NYC and refreshing froses. Plus, if you get hungry after all the drinks, don’t fret because there are sharable dishes including vegan and vegetarian options that will have you asking for seconds.
I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of Slate Rooftop, and it certainly lived up to its Slate legacy. If you’re in the Williamsburg area, definitely visit Slate Rooftop first chance you get.

On Friday evening, we had the chance to attend the preview of the event before the official opening on Saturday, May 21st. Pop up shops along with an art gallery greeted us as soon as we stepped into the venue. We also had access to karaoke, a delicious food hall and tasty cocktails throughout the night. The space was overall welcoming and vibrant, and it definitely paid a homage to the AAPI community.
Additionally, we had the amazing opportunity to interview some members of House of Slay: Laura Kim, Tina Leung and Ezra J. William. Please head over to our Instagram @Theknockturnal to watch that intimate sit-down.
