It was a very good day indeed.
This past week in New York City the world turned upside down and America got a captivating taste of the beautiful country of Australia. The Australia On Tour event that took place downtown at The Mezzanine opened up a thrilling conversation about the travel industry opening up doors again widely in 2022.

Excitement took over the room during the lively event that served up delicious tastes and luxurious wines from the country as top executives from Tourism Australia, Tripadvisor, and Qantas held court during a panel. Sarah Glover and Jane Lopes’ tastes were indulged and included a Rain Forest Citrus Salad with sea salt and edible flowers served before Australian-inspired Organic Grass Fed Lamb Tagliata with Lemon Myrtle Chimichurri and Beet Root Vegetable Mashed. Divine regional wines showcased were a 2016 Merite Shiraz/Malbec and 2013 Henskens Rankin Brut Rose.

Each taste indulged the senses fully as attendees carefully listened to the guest speakers Chris Allison, Acting General Manager, Americas, Tourism Australia; John Simeone, Senior Vice President of International Sales, Qantas; Matt Cameron-Smith, CEO, Voyages Indigenous Tourism; and Steven Paganelli, CDME, Director, Destinations, Hotels and OTAs, Tripadvisor.
