An overcast day could not stop and did not stand a chance at outshining all of the fabulousness that happened at Torrid’s 2nd Annual Pool Party celebrating their #THESECURVES campaign and swimwear line!
Upon arrival, VIP guest was greeted at the Beautiful Private Monaco Mansion with complimentary valet service and immediately ushered over to the onsite Torrid Pop Up Shop. As a special guest, we had the opportunity to touch and feel the fabulous new swimwear line boasting bold prints and our favorite, a. zig zagged classic black and white high waisted bikini sure to flatter any size curves!
As we shopped we also nibbled on light bites; French Fries in personal sized boxes, Mini burgers, Delicious fruit kabobs and walnut brownie bites stood out as a few of our favorites snacks at the party.
The scene was hot and the view breathtaking! The vibes were flowing with the help of Torrid’s DJ who was poolside keeping the party light and fun spinning today’s top hits and a few girl boss classics! There were also other cool activations on the site like a super cool flower crown station! That’s right all curvy beauties were crowned at the party as well!
We danced and connected over carefully crafted specialty cocktails poolside. Our favorite drink of the day was the “Curvy Señorita” made with premium tequila, pink grapefruit juice, simple syrup, a splash of cranberry juice and fresh mint! Super yummy! We also tried the “Torrid Babe” which was a rum cocktail and since the party was in Orange County my designated driver enjoyed Torrid’s designated driver mocktails “The Double D” the tasty treats kept everyone hydrated and happy all day long.
The event was hosted by MTV’s Girl Code Star Nicole Byer who was super dope, down to earth and just plain fun to hang out with and that was just one of the many highlights! The party was also filled with all of our favorite curvy influencers and models and noteworthy blogger and guest like like Gabi Gregg, Ashley Nell Tipton, Nadia Aboulhosn, Jennifer Buckingham and Jordan Jerome just to name a few! And really what’s a pool party without a photo booth? Well not only was there a both where you could email or text fun photos of you and your friends, you also got to walk away with prints! Memories to last a lifetime. Forget your towel at home? It was all good because Torrid had you covered! In our swag bags, we received Torrid Towels, a perfume set, and sunnies which really could come in handy at a pool party just in case you forgot yours at home…like I did! #ThanksTorrid
I can honestly say this was the most empowering pool party we’ve ever attended! Whether you were a model, blogger or influencer all curves were flaunted more unapologetically than we’ve ever experienced which was super powerful and inspiring!
