Meet Ralph Souffrant our new favorite model with freckles. With the success of models such as Angela Lindvall, Binx Walton to Adwoa Aboah, its comes as no surprise for the 21-year old Ralph Souffrant from Re:Quest Model Management is on his way to the top. Dressed up in head to toe FILA, we caught up the rising star to discuss modeling, fashion, and social media.
My 1st actual opportunity was given to me by Shaun Ross. He had a line in collaboration with Adidas, seen me on Instagram and invited me to attend the casting. He chose me and I did my 1st runway during Fashion Week in NYC. That was my formal introduction to the world of fashion.
Where are you from originally?
I am from the wonderful island of Haiti!
Favorite modeling job you’ve done so far?
Equinox. I loved the versatility of the art and the diversity of the people they chose for the shoot. Working out is a huge part of my life and that was showcased in this shoot.
What’s your go-to outfit for casting?
Casting can be long and you wait around for quite some time so, I choose to be comfortable. I usually wear workout clothes. Typical, sweats and sneakers.
What one place you’d like to visit?
There are so many places I’d love to see. However, Dubai has been on my mind lately.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m sure we all have hidden talents. (ha ha ha) For you, I’ll share a little something. I’m quite the masseur. What can I say, I’m good with my hands.
Your freckles are very unique, growing up how was it having such a distinct look?Growing up was quite a struggle. My skin caused adults to pity me and children to tease me. It hurt but, as God would have it, my skin has become my best attribute. Talk about turning your tribulations into triumphs!
If you weren’t modeling what would you be doing?
If I weren’t modeling, I’d be pursuing my dreams of becoming a doctor.
Who is your favorite person to follow on social media?
The Rock
Which app do you use the most?
Do you have any secret skin care remedies?
Yes, bathe twice per day. LMBO!
Best advice someone has given to you?
When I’d just began, I wasn’t chosen for some campaigns and it definitely cast some doubt. Someone told me something that stuck with me and will probably stick with me for the rest of my life. They said, “you know, Jordan didn’t make every shot but, he will still go down in history as one of the greatest”. I was speechless and my confidence was restored. In that moment, I’d discovered how the greats had done it. They’d allowed themselves to embrace their failures, learn from them and mastered what not to do.
