Harley Quinn has officially taken over Hollywood, or should I say, Harleywood!

On January 23 guests were invited to a night of music and mayhem in celebration of Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. After splitting with The Joker, Harley Quinn [Margot Robbie]  joins superheroes Black Canary [Jurnee Smollett Bell], Huntress [Mary Elizabeth Winstead] and Renee Montoya [Rosie Perez] to save Cassandra Cain [Ella Jay Basco] from Gotham City crime lord, Black Mask [Ewan McGregor].

The Harleywood takeover began at the famous center courtyard on Hollywood and Highland. The shopping center was transformed to the land of all things Birds of Prey with Harley Quinn fanatics and canary lovers roaming around. Just in case you didn’t already come decked out in your best Harley attire, there were makeup booths set up to get you twinning with the famous villain. On display were Harley’s most noted outfits including her plastic jacket with colorful fringed sleeves and her yellow, diamond checkered overalls. Excited fans waited in line to take photos in the photobooth replicating the chaos Quinn caused in Gotham City. Throughout the night, kooky actors dressed as the supervillain skated around with bats in hand shouting iconic Harley Quinn lines such as “hey puddin”, “we’re bad guys, it’s what we do” and “it’s a good day for murder.” As the night progressed, eager fans finally got what they came for.’

The entire cast made an appearance in the packed Hollywood courtyard. As Robbie graciously thanked the fans for coming out and showing support fireworks shot off, simultaneously illuminating the giant arch with flashing photos of the Birds of Prey cast. After the thrilling firework show, confetti bursted out covering the plaza to ultimately reveal a giant, colorful Harleywood sign designed to emulate the well-known Hollywood sign.

Immediately following, special guests were invited to attend the Atlantic music mixer to continue the celebration. Guests were loaded onto the Hollywood tour buses and driven to the popular Dream Hotel Hollywood located in the heart of Hollywood. Attendees reached the rooftop bar and were immediately tossed into the land of Harley. There were plenty of photo opportunities including a replica of Quinn’s living room, of course with her beloved pet Hyena, Bruce. Partygoers were also treated to customized gloves as well as a gift bag including Birds of Prey inspired makeup, a headband with colored pigtails and of course hair dye to get that wild Quinn hair color. Guest sipped on specialized cocktails such as The Number 32, Morning Margherita and the Cinnamon Crunch White Russian and nibbled on delicious finger foods including mini breakfast sandwiches, burger sliders, buffalo chicken meatballs, sashimi and much more.

The fun continued with amazing performances by Atlantic Records artists including producer/DJ Whipped Cream and singer Charlotte Lawrence. Fan favorite, Doja Cat closed out the night debuting her song “Boss Bitch” which will be featured on the Birds of Prey soundtrack and then wrapping up her performance with hit song, “Juicy” as she showed off her backless jacket, highlighting her exposed backside. The night was full of high energy, surprises and excitement. Be sure to check out Birds of Prey when it hits theaters on February 7.
