Capital One raised a glass to the 79th Tony Awards with a fabulous viewing party.
On Sunday, Capital One celebrated Broadway’s biggest night with a Tony Awards viewing party for Capital One cardholders. The event transformed the Capital One Cafe at Union Square into a stylish lounge, complete with comfortable velvet couches, show tunes and a blue carpet inviting guests to strike a pose.
Mary Kate Morrissey hosted the night, providing commentary on the award show during commercial breaks. The actress and influencer provided fun facts about the night’s nominees and pulled back the curtain on the Broadway classic Wicked, sharing anecdotes about her time playing Elphaba on Broadway.
“The Tony Awards are one of my favorite, favorite days of the year,” she shared with the audience. “I used to grow up watching it, and I have memorized so many of the speeches.”
Guests received Broadway bingo cards to play throughout the night, and ballots to predict which productions and actors would take home a prized medallion. Viewers cheered as Ragtime, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, and more shows took home major wins.
Throughout the night, guests were treated to light bites and drinks galore, including signature Hugo Spritzes. Everyone left with a gift, including special glassware and ingredients to make the refreshing drink at home.
