A night of live performances and shades of violet, nearly 500 guests congregated at Cipriani South Street to celebrate New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts’ 60th anniversary on April 13. The festivities centered Theatre Mitu Founding Artistic Director and Tisch’s newest Dean, Rubén Polendo and two honorees — Runway co-founder and Tisch alum, Cristóbal Valenzuela (‘18) and Pulitzer Prize winning writer and Tisch faculty member, Suzan- Lori Parks.
The eclipse on April 8 marked New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts’ “biggest celebration of creative change makers to date!” As the purple carpet was rolled out in Cipriani South Street in NYC, professors, students, alum and more gathered to acknowledge honorees actor Corey Stoll, singer/songwriter Madison Love and film director Ang Lee at the 2024 Tisch Gala.
