TRY – LAY IT DOWN FT. DREAMDOLL & JAY1

TRY, the innovative electronic duo comprising Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Sam i and Nashville songwriting vanguard Shmuck The Loyal, continue to push musical boundaries with their latest genre-blurring offering “Lay It Down.” The track showcases a seamless fusion of genres, kicking off with a low, reverberating bassline intertwined with complex rhythmic textures and layered vocal embellishments. DreamDoll eases in with her smooth rap flow before passing the mic to Jay1, whose deep, magnetic vocals demonstrate sharp wordplay. The two engage in a hypnotic lyrical back-and-forth, echoing the mantra “lay it down” and showcasing each collaborator’s talent as well as their collective ability to create an engaging narrative over a catchy, repetitive hook.

NIGHT TALES x LAR – THE HEALER [EMPIRE]

Known for their evocative storytelling and live instrumentation blended with an electronic framework, Night Tales continue to captivate with “The Healer,” a powerful collaboration with melodic house artist LAR.”The Healer” embodies emotional vocals sharing a narrative of love and healing through meaningful relationships. Seamlessly layered with enchanting synths, soothing melodies, crisp percussion, and a hypnotic deep bassline, “The Healer” showcases Night Tales’ ability to forge a distinct fusion sound that transcends borders. FAIRLANE – GENESIS EP [MONSTERCAT]

Canada-born, Denver-based artist Fairlane, recently debuted his latest EP Genesis on Monstercat. The ambitious project marks the beginning of a new phase, seamlessly fusing rock and electronic music into an innovative yet nostalgic sonic odyssey. Genesis boasts diverse collaborations, including emotive anthems like “Take It Back” with post-hardcore legends Silverstein, and “Not My Night” with LA’s Point North, merging modern electronic production with early 2000s punk rock vibes. HELLOWORLD – HEARTPIECE

helloworld, the sonic brainchild of producer and singer-songwriter Drew Wilken, dropped a gorgeous new single and music video that blends forward-thinking pop with 8-bit instrumentation. Boasting a sound that is often described as “future nostalgia,” Heartpiece” sees the creative wearing his heart on his sleeve, as an emotionally poignant ballad driven by swelling synths and an effervescent vocal performance. Drawing inspiration from Tears of the Kingdom and Legend of Zelda, the raw lyricism explores the futile pursuit of an unattainable ideal, a quest for perfection that doesn’t exist. RICH FURNISS x JAMES PATTERSON x TERRY HUNTER – RELEASE YOURSELF

Brooklyn-based house music dynamo Rich Furniss continues his rapid ascent with “Release Yourself,” a seductive house experience featuring collaborators James Patterson and the legendary Terry Hunter. In an electrifying first-time collaboration, legendary dubstep titans Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion have joined forces with the provocative talents of singer-songwriter DeathbyRomy to unleash “Waves,” out now via Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint. Premiered during Zeds Dead’s headlining set at Electric Forest last June, the highly anticipated “Waves” combines an emotional topline from DeathbyRomy with the signature production styles of the two bass music icons.  Through Deadbeats, the label has fostered a community grounded in authenticity and artistic freedom, championing the full spectrum of bass music while nurturing emerging talents and veterans alike within a flourishing musical ecosystem.

HEADACHES x GOLDEN VESSEL – THE SONG OF YOU

Australian artist Melisa Bester, aka E^ST, continues developing her newly launched alias Headaches, offering another tantalizing preview of the forthcoming album “Making Friends with The Space Around Me” alongside Golden Vessel’s Maxwell Byrne. Following the exceptional singles “Make it Somehow,” “Happy Days in Happy Weather,” and “I Inhabit My Life (And It Feels So Good),” which garnered global praise, Headaches unveils “The Song of You” – a beautifully chilled indie-pop gem that perfectly sets the scene as the opening track. MIA MORETTI x CHICCO – I NEED SOME MONEY [UNIVERSAL SOUTH AFRICA / SPAGHETTI MORETTI RECORDS]

Hot on the heels of a DJ MINX rework and her debut Coachella performance, DJ and producer Mia Moretti shares her latest single, “I Need Some Money.” Fusing the spirit of the 1986 South African classic with a modern, playful dance beat, the track breathes new life into the iconic hit nearly four decades after its initial release. The upbeat, “bubblegum” sample pushes the tried-and-true groove forward, ready for the dancefloor. Released last Friday via Universal South Africa and Moretti’s Spaghetti Moretti Records, “I Need Some Money” arrives as Moretti continues forging into production, having recently launched her label which housed her debut EP ‘TAMBOR‘ and remixes from house heavyweights. With a Coachella debut at the DoLab stage and party takeovers alongside Bicep and Ed Banger’s Busy P recently under her belt, Moretti will continue rinse this dancefloor-primed gem in all its glory heading into festival season.

1TBSP – STARCHITECT [SUMOCLIC]

Australian Grammy-nominated artist Maxwell Byrne, aka Golden Vessel, continues to captivate with his ever-evolving alternative house project 1tbsp. As he diligently works on the highly anticipated sophomore album “Megacity 1000,” slated for an August release, Byrne offers an invigorating taste of what’s to come in the form of “Starchitect.” The explosive indie-dance track seamlessly blends elements of house, hyper-pop, and alternative reggaeton influences, resulting in a sound akin to a vibrant fusion of ROSALÍA, Mura Masa, and Jamie xx. With “Starchitect” out now via Sumoclic, 1tbsp prepares to bring his dynamic live show to the UK in May, followed by a headlining performance at New York’s Elsewhere in August, hinting at more North American dates on the horizon. As Byrne’s artistic evolution continues to unfold, each release further cements 1tbsp as a multifaceted tour de force defying genre boundaries.

MALÓNE – MIAMI GROOVE VA VOL [WHYNOTUS]

Renowned DJ-producer Malóne continues shaping the future of house music through his newly launched WHYNOTUS label and event series. The imprint’s first compilation, ‘MIAMI GROOVE VA,’ unites a diverse array of artists from across the globe. Leading off is Amal Nemer’s hypnotic, percussion-laden “Get It,” layered with exotic vocals that set a groovy precedent. What follows is an ethnic tour de force forged by the likes of Morpei, Damelo, Sounds Of Rituals, Pablo Alhach, Des & Del, DZR, and Sabrosura Boyz, representing nations like Venezuela, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, Bolivia, Cuba, Israel, and the USA. A melting pot of cultural influences, the compilation serves as an exciting preview of how WHYNOTUS aims to bridge the gap between underground and mainstage house music by spotlighting a wide range of up-and-coming talent rooted in the percussive-driven, Afro-infused Miami sound.

ARKY WATERS – BUMPER EP

Following a string of exceptional singles like “Take My Time,” “Gum,” and “Hercules,” Australian newcomer Arky Waters unveils his highly anticipated “Bumper” EP alongside its unheard titular track. The release serves as another compelling showcase of the young producer’s unique ability to blend breakbeat, jungle, and tech-house into an invigorating style akin to a fusion of Nia Archives, Overmono, and Bicep. As Waters shares, “Bumper” pays homage to Sydney’s thriving dance music scene, with each track catering to different corners – from the techno heads and junglists to the UKG ravers.
