Five designers brought a crowd to the 69th floor of the World Trade Center for the Nolcha Show’s S/S 2023 NYFW Runway Show held on September 13.The brands included Mauricio Alpizar, The Tailory, Maya Seyferth, Kaiane Designs and Høst & Vår.
While Mauricio Alpizar debuted an “Animal Kingdom” collection full of vibrant colors, bold prints and graphics; The Tailory remained grounded in chic and edgy, clinging to the simplicity and sophistication of black in both formal and street wear genderless pieces.
Giving a nod to her home base, Zürich, Maya Seyferth created an elegant line solely based on the flower of the Alps, aka Edelweiss. The Kaiane Designs team also drew inspiration from their home, Saudi Arabia, as they created loose and silky nude garments perfect for Middle Eastern desserts or date night.
Host & Vår channeled seasonal transitions through their “Flowers From My Garden” collection; creating bright and floral pieces complete with shy frills and puffs for an extra girlish flare.
Although each collection conveys their own messages, they all share one important value: sustainability. Each brand remains dedicated to preserving the Earth while creating fashion. Be sure to keep an eye out for these trailblazers who are ensuring a guilt free shopping experience.

NYFW Nolcha Shows F/W’19
Nolcha Shows, held during New York Fashion Week, is the go-to destination to support independent fashion designers. This season’s show picked up where it left off in September with a show dedicated to Amnesia, Vitruvius, and Hathairat on February 10th.
For more than a decade The Nolcha Shows have given fledgling fashion designers the opportunity to showcase their work in New York during fashion week. This year, designers Bennov, Supin, and Videmus Omnia presented their Fall and Winter 2019 collections. There was makeup reminiscent of Swan Lake, a casual menswear collection, and crimped dresses paired with fishnets and high-heeled boots.
Nolcha Shows, an event dedicated to shining light on independent and upcoming fashion designers, took fashion week by storm on September 6th. In addition to the shows, guests had a chance to visit booths and sample products from sponsors including Clear Eyes; who offered up eye portraits to promote of their #MyShiningMoment campaign featuring Vanessa Williams.
Several designers brought their Spring/Summer collections to the runway, including Eva Prokai of Amnesia and a Canadian collective who showcased their brand Vitruvius.
Amnesia, a brand founded in 2002 and based in Budapest, stuck to a black and white theme with bursts of red and pink. While some pieces displayed the same print, they were each drastically different from each other. The variation in design, in terms of edgy and sexy to classy, evening wear, allows Amnesia’s spring/summer collection to reach all women on any occasion.
On the other hand, Vitruvius showcased a very avante garde collection that consists of dark colors and very intricate, three-dimensional designs perfect for being the center of attention. This collection, made for both men and women, featured shapes uncommon to the fashion world which set this line apart from the rest.
To make your purchases and/or to support these talented designers, visit Amnesia’s online store then head to Vitruvius’ website.
Influenced by multiculturalism and inspired by the ideal of harmony between humans and the natural world, emerging brands ARANYANI and KavenLiu DIMOR presented their Spring/Summer 2019 collections at the eleventh annual Nolcha Shows during New York Fashion Week. The Nolcha Shows are a platform for independent designers to showcase their innovative designs to a global audience, allowing opportunities for discovery.
