New York is not a city where one can afford not to put their best foot forward. So,ย BACARDรย collaborated withย Stadium Goodsย to host a VIP preview of their BACARDร x Stadium Goods SNEAK3ASY, an ode to footwear and the summer moments we all look forward to. Brand founder Jeff Staple ofย Stapleย led the event with a rum toast detailing the design process of his new custom “dancing shoes,” which featured the spirit’s signature fruit bat.ย
The brands’ opening invite-only retail party featured DJ sets fromย Myles O’Nealย and designerย Heron Preston, with a Manhattan-based pop-up store experience extending to the public today. SNEAK3ASY’s special guests included GRAMMY-award-winning producer Boi -1da, producerย Vinylz, and rapper-turned-media personalityย Trinidad James. The creative collective, artists, editors, music executives, and attendees were welcomed at the storefront with custom merch, interactive AR mirrors, and customizable NFT sneakers co-designed by Staple.ย
This Stadium Goods experience featured a secret entrance marked as the “stockroom,” where guests were led to a Caribbean-inspired BACARDร party. The ongoing drink menu includes “Bodega Run,” which features BACARDร Reserva Ocho Rum, and the “Gov Ball Punch,” a cocktail that will be served during the weekend’s music festival. Before the evening concluded, a rep confirmed that Gov Ball 2023 has a new home at the Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Ticketing information and event photos can be viewedย here:
