HBO Max held an exclusive fan experience at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles to celebrate the fifth and final season of the hit comedy-drama series Hacks.
The event included a cocktail hour with Hacks-inspired drinks, an advance screening of the first 2 episodes of Season 5, and an afterparty with Vegas-themed immersive experiences and gifts.

Prior to the screening, Emmy-winning creators, showrunners, writers, directors, and executive producers Paul W. Downs, Jen Statsky, Lucia Aniello, and Hannah Einbinder treated fans to a surprise appearance, reflecting on the show’s impressive tenure and introducing the new episodes. Einbinder even dazzled the audience with a cartwheel landing in the splits.

The El Rey Theatre was transformed into a mini Vegas for the afterparty festivities, which included photo ops with Vegas showgirls, magician spectacles, casino pop-up tables, and a themed gift shop with Hacks merch.
The most show-worthy afterparty experience included a full wedding chapel where guests could participate in their own pretend Vegas-inspired wedding ceremony, complete with a stage, spectators, and costumes. Drag queen Alaska, dressed as Hacks’ Deborah Vance, officiated the nuptials.
