Rogaine marked National Hair Loss Awareness Month with the debut of its Gain Lounge, an immersive New York experience combining expert conversations about scalp health and hair regrowth with styling stations, professional headshots, personalized gifts, and a closer look at the brand’s expanding product lineup.
Presented with Amazon, the Gain Lounge opened with a VIP preview on August 26 before welcoming the public for two days of complimentary programming. Rather than simply displaying products, the activation approached hair loss through a mix of education and self-care, creating a space where guests could learn more about scalp health while enjoying the lighter side of the experience.

A central focus of the evening was making conversations around hair loss feel more approachable. Salim Mokhtari, Global Head of Rogaine, spoke about the brand’s mission to help destigmatize hair health, while board-certified dermatologist Dr. Kunal Malik discussed hair regrowth and why taking early action can be an important part of addressing hair loss.
The educational component was balanced by plenty of hands-on programming. Guests moved through styling stations for hair touch-ups before posing for professional headshots, while custom mocktails, small bites, massages, and product samples kept the atmosphere closer to a lounge than a traditional beauty event.

Rogaine also used the pop-up to spotlight an expanding range of scalp and hair-care products beyond its familiar minoxidil treatments. Among those featured were the Men’s Rogaine Pre-Growth Shampoo + Conditioner, designed to cleanse the scalp for use alongside hair regrowth routines, and the Men’s Rogaine 2% Salicylic Acid Anti-Dandruff Shampoo + Conditioner, developed for concerns including dandruff, itching, and flaking. The display also included the brand’s established men’s and women’s minoxidil foam treatments.
That broader assortment helped reinforce one of the evening’s main messages: hair health is not limited to a single product or concern, but can involve everything from scalp care to styling and longer-term regrowth routines.

The experience ended on a personalized note, with guests receiving leather dopp kits customized with their initials—a fitting souvenir from an activation centered on making an often-sensitive topic feel more individual and approachable.
With the Gain Lounge, Rogaine turned National Hair Loss Awareness Month into more than a product showcase. By pairing expert information with grooming, personalization, and conversation, the brand created an accessible entry point into a subject many people still find difficult to discuss.
