Drag queens, live music, Real Housewives, and more!
When you haven’t left your house (or tiny New York apartment) in over a year you’ll discover SO many things to celebrate! One of the many celebrations that took place in New York City this week was Glimmer of Light, Playbill‘s Pride Celebration Concert at Radial Park in Hallets Point, Queens on June 17th.
Presented by Cadillac, The Born This Way Foundation and sponsored by Icelandic Glacial Water, Kevin Duda Productions, Moritz Theatricals, NYC Test and Trace Corps, Open Jar Studios, The Playbill Store, Popcornopolis, and many more, the event was certainly one for the books!
With special performances by The Neon Coven, Jan from Rupaul’s Drag Race, Dorinda Medley of the Real Housewives of New York, Blaine Alden Krauss, Brian Sims, DeMarius R. Copes, Legacy BQPC (Ashton Muñiz, Basit Shittu, Garrett Allen & Kyle Carrero Lopez), Marti Allen-Cummings, Max Crumm, Sis, and representatives from the Born This Way Foundation, who all graced the stage throughout the evening.
The sold-out event celebrated the LGBTQ+ community, youth, and their allies with original musical performances, virtual appearances, and spreading the mission of building a kinder and braver world.
You can stream Glimmer of Light for free on June 24 at 8 PM EST on Playbill.com and Playbill’s YouTube.
