G-Shock celebrated its GA100CM and GDX6900TC camouflage watches with an invite-only Camo Ball at Center 548.
As one of the most deeply rooted watch sets within the Casio family, G-Shock decided to give it a more edgy and updated look for today’s pioneers of style. And to give this event more of a cohesive and flowing vibe, everyone was told to wear a camouflage item. This particular event not only highlighted the evolution of a traditional and timeless watch, but it also showcased the versatility of the transcending designs. Ultimately it was able to bring together some of the most unique, trendy, and influential men and women of New York City.
“With summer fully kicking off in Manhattan, there’s no better way to celebrate the camo collection than with friends of our brand,” said Shigenori Itoh, the Chairman and CEO of Casio America, Inc. “It’s not often that you have a formal celebration to celebrate a product release.” As the crowd mingled and connected, front and center were cases featuring the new watch set. All creatively done, the new G-Shock watch set ranged from red and desert camo to the traditional army fatigue.
There was also a wall of history, which showed the evolution of the G-Shock camo watches dating back to the 1940’s. DJ Wonder and LA-based DJ SOSUPERSAM were on the turntables. If you weren’t able to attend this product release party, you missed out on a tremendous piece of watch history!
