Diesel Fragrances’ passionate party in Brooklyn set the tone for New York Fashion Week as they pair with Emmy-winning actress and singer Dove Cameron to introduce the brand’s first feminine perfume “Only Desire.”
The exterior of The Weylin was shining Diesel’s signature red on Sept. 9, a fitting introduction to the fashion brand’s romantic New York Fashon Week event. The night marks the launch of Diesel Fragrance’s first feminine perfume, “Only Desire,” in collaboration with Dove Cameron. The Emmy-winning actress and singer is best known for her leading roles in Disney programs “Liv and Maddie” and the “Descendants” franchise, and her 2022 hit single “Boyfriend.”
Within the party, The Weylin filled its interior with elaborate activations and photo-ops. Guests were greeted with fruity champagne flutes and an opportunity to pose with a replica of Cameron’s “Throne of Desire” from the campaign. “Only Desire,” which Diesel Fragrances describes as a “powerful declaration of today’s woman,” includes notes of bergamot, vanilla and pear accord. Its alluring aroma spread throughout the venue as attendees could freely sample it from a towering six-tier display.

Cameron, who also released her newest single “When In Rome” the day of the Diesel event, brought a buzzing energy as she arrived to pose with the event’s installations and explore the various activities. The new track was playing across the speakers as she entered, providing an exciting introduction to the single and her upcoming debut album.
Throughout the night, attendees could get in touch with their desires through a series of immersive exhibits. First, guests enter the manifestation booth and write down a word to invite into their lives. Examples included love, peace and other personal affirmations. Next, participants can hand in their manifestation paper to a group of embroiderers, who stitched your chosen word onto a plush red Diesel pouch.
Outside of the manifestation exhibit, partygoers could visit tooth gem stations and sample extravagant charcuterie spreads placed throughout the room. The night’s red theme continued in the refreshments through themed drinks like Dirty Shirley’s, and special desserts like berries and cream or towering Jell-O displays.
Even for a Wednesday night, Diesel keeps the party roaring. From the top floor of the refurbished bank, DJ X3Butterfly was playing a smooth mix of house tunes. The curated atmosphere of lush red hues and decadent design feels straight out of Diesel’s sensual vision for “Only Desire,” one where femininity and power blend and demand your upmost attention.
