The O’2nd Spring/Summer 2016 Collection infuses the color palettes of Gary Hume and Henri Matisse into silhouettes defined by creative lines and simplified forms.
O’2nd is back with an updated contemporary collection of modern basics with an edge. The Korean based brand takes on a casual, laid back approach to its Spring/Summer collection with a bright color palette consisting of mints and hints of pink. The printed silhouettes seem fluid and light, making the looks tailored for any occasion for casual wear. Also interesting are the textures and detailing in the peices, which give a more expensive and classy aesthetic. Although the brand takes its roots from Seoul, brand leader Minsoo Chung has designed the brand universally towards any woman that has an affinity for classic daywear but also values personal style.
Some interesting looks were a black sleeveless back detail jumpsuit with a navy wrap belt and a mint knit dress with stripe detailing, green Riviera print maxi skirt with a side slit detail. The standout piece was a color block leather jacket with color block plaid short sleeve sweater and ivory wide leg slit detailed pant. Hair and makeup for the presentation was simple and sleek with minimal styling. Overall, the collection is cohesive and very ready-to-wear.
