New York City-based fashion brand Occhii recently hosted an exclusive pop-up in Soho to showcase their FW26 collection.
The fashion world knows Occhii, a queer-founded, New York City-based brand, for creating distinctive, lasting statement pieces. Pronounced [oh-CHEE], the name is inspired by the word for “eyes” across several languages, reflecting the brand’s philosophy that the way you see the world is what makes life so beautiful.
Designer Leo Batekhin and Brand Director Bryan Mirabal recently hosted a Soho pop-up to showcase their FW26 collection. I had the pleasure of taking a walkthrough with Mirabal. They detailed the process of working with a diverse range of materials, from deadstock vintage silks to high-quality Italian leathers. A personal favorite touch was the incorporation of a rich plum hue into pieces customers already adore.

While I admired their best-seller, the “Robe Coat in Glazed Cow,” my jaw truly dropped at the sight of the “Mini Slip in Silk Combo” made up of red vintage scrap kimonos. If this pop-up proved anything, it’s that Occhii’s commitment to intentional craftsmanship is only growing stronger. Every garment tells a story of careful material selection and bold design, proving that sustainability and high-end luxury can coexist perfectly.
