Becky G Lights Up the Toyota Center in Ontario, CA for her Casa Gomez: Otro Capítulo Tour – A Night to Remember

Becky G’s electrifying presence on stage was immediately apparent as she kicked off the night with the high-energy “Mala Santa,” setting the tone for what would be an unforgettable evening. The crowd, a mix of die-hard fans and new converts like myself, was absolutely charged with excitement. For me, this was only my second time attending a reggaeton concert, and I can confidently say that Becky G has made me a true fan of the genre.
A Powerful Setlist and Unforgettable Collaborations
Becky G’s setlist was a flawless blend of crowd-pleasers and exciting new material, showcasing her range as both a performer and a storyteller. The night flowed seamlessly from one hit to the next, with standouts like “Fulanito,” “TAJIN,” and “Arranca” getting the crowd dancing from the very first beat. The unreleased track “Hablamos Mañana” was a highlight, giving fans a glimpse into the future of Becky’s musical evolution.
Throughout the night, Becky was joined by an impressive array of special guests. Chiquis’ appearance on “Cuidadito” brought an extra layer of excitement, with the two powerhouse performers delivering a song that had the crowd singing along in unison. Ivan Cornejo also made a memorable cameo during “2NDO CHANCE,” adding a unique twist to the set that felt both intimate and special.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was the tribute to the late Selena Quintanilla. Becky G, clearly emotional, took to the stage to perform “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” an iconic song that paid homage to one of reggaeton’s greatest influences. It was a beautiful moment that connected generations of fans, uniting everyone in celebration of Selena’s enduring legacy.
Personal Highlights and Fan Interaction
As the show progressed, Becky’s connection with the audience only grew stronger. The energy in the Toyota Center was palpable, and the love between the artist and her fans was evident in every cheer, every scream, and every dance move. She took a moment to express how much this show meant to her, sharing her gratitude for the opportunity to perform in front of a hometown crowd. It felt like a true homecoming.
The setlist reached its peak with massive hits like “MAMII,” “Baile Con Mi Ex,” and the chart-topping “Sin Pijama,” each one sending the crowd into a frenzy. And just when it seemed like the night couldn’t get any more electric, Becky returned for an encore with her infectious anthem “Shower,” bringing the crowd to their feet one last time.
A New Fan of Reggaeton
For someone who had never been a huge reggaeton fan until this point, Becky G’s performance completely won me over. The fusion of reggaeton rhythms, pop sensibilities, and Becky’s undeniable stage presence left an indelible mark. From her powerful vocals to her dynamic dancing, she proved herself to be not only a reggaeton queen but a true pop star with staying power.
In a night filled with love, music, and celebration, Becky G showcased just why she’s at the top of her game. Her sold-out performance at the Toyota Center was more than just a concert; it was a testament to her hard work, her roots, and the powerful connection she shares with her fans. This was a night to remember—and if you weren’t there, you definitely missed out on witnessing an artist at the peak of her career.
